6th July 2009:
We have been doing some extensive work on the woodland lake which is now fishing wonderfully. Our most recent record breaker out of that lake was a 5lb 6oz Ide. Unfortunately I don't have a photo as yet, I think the chap who caught it was more interested in getting it into Anglers Mail!
We have also had some great catches from the Valley lake including most recently a beautiful 11lb Tench, again no photo as it was caught at night and the photo didn't come out too well.

We can now offer a budget level accomodation in the form of a two berth touring caravan for an all in price of £35 / night. The van has a gas stove and grill, fridge with freezer compartment, TV and DVD and offers a simple and cheap option to stay and fish on site. The van can be booked for any length of stay and the price includes fishing for up to two people.

I am pleased to announce that all of our self catering customers can now fish any of Taunton Angling Association waters during their stay at no extra cost. These include some great stretches of river and canal as well as the West Sedgemoor Drain and a selection of other nearby lakes. Day tickets are available for any other customers direct from the angling association website or from reception.

What a brilliant Easter. Sunshine all weekend and a great relaxed atmosphere here on site. Everyone has been catching well, including some of the larger (3 and 4 lb) Ide from the woodland lake, photos to follow once we have received them. Our first guests of 2009 have already started flooding in and have certainly bought the weather with them. One couple have been kind enough to share their photos of their best fish from the last 10 days:

Apologies for the lack of updates, in between snow, ice and downed phone lines it has been an interesting start to the year. The maintenance schedule was thrown a little but I am pleased to confirm the following improvements are now up and running:
- Improved roadways and lakeside parking (woodland lake)
- Improved hard standings
- Free on site Wi-fi access
We are also opening up some new swims on both lakes next week.
